On Special! The innovative 3-piece construction, i.e. face and hosel are just 1 part, elimiates welding and strategically re-positions discretionary weight for improved weight distribution. The deep cup face is hot forged in several steps from a raw billet (solid bar) by 700 ton press hammer. The benefits of this Iso-Thermo forging are a more uniform forging line and precise dimensional control to meet tight specifications. A special Responsive Face design places more thickness in the lower half of the face (3.0 mm) and thinner thickness at the upper portion (2.0 mm) (vertical variable thickness) maximising the COR-CT and increasing initial ball velocity without increasing spin rate. The deep cup face design elimiates the heavier weld bead from traditional tig welding. This increases the sweet spot on the face allowing more energy transfer when struck off-center. The twin cavities in the heel and toe areas provide structural support for a solid, stable feel at impact. Each driver comes standard with two 2-gram Mondeo weight inserts and a wrench. Loft Lie Wgt.
